So, I thought it would be neat to convert the Life Stories 'hoods to TS2, using this little tutorial. Simple enough, right? Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I dunno if that's because SaraMK didn't test her stuff enough, or because I have many more EPs than this was tested with back in 2007, or what.

Either way, no matter what I try (unplayed/played story, extracting the lots, whatever), some of the lots and some of the families crash the game. (This is all in Riley's Hood/Four Corners, I don't even really want to try Vincent's right now).

So I'm a little disappointed. I'm sure I could do some convoluted terrain surgery/extracting & rebuilding lots/recreating extracted sims... thing, but I don't know if I can be bothered, at least not right now.

I learned some interesting things along the way though, like that the Free Play 'hood is a slightly modified version of Riley's Story 'hood, with minor fixes and alterations to some of the houses (all but two of these work when extracted, btw), and two community lots combined into one, and some sims are missing... Also, very bizarrely, a little community lot in the Story 'hood that's used for a wedding starts out as a residential lot before the story is played... but at the end of the story, it's a community lot. There's some strange wizardry going on with these scripted stories.

Also, Mickey Smith/Harlow makes ugly kids with eyes that look like they're trying to escape their sockets.

So... Anyone have Any Game Starter and feel like testing a 'hood with only Uni, NL and OFB for me?
